We were playing outside today and Evan totally ran into the garage door while he was chasing bubbles. I laughed out loud...I'm a good mom, really.

Sometime during the first few weeks at home I was burping Eli in the middle of his feeding. He burped and Evan said, "Him gonna eat from the udder (other) one now?"

Evan is still talking about his "Caterpillar Cake" from his birthday. He really enjoyed having us sing to him and getting to blow out the candle. Pretty sure we sang "Happy Birthday" about 5 times before he finally let us stop.

I keep kicking myself for not keeping track of the funny things Evan says. So, I'm gonna do my best to re-count a few of his most memorable quotes here so I have them somewhere. Yeah, I know that most of this is way funnier to me than anyone else, but I need a record of it somewhere.

Sometimes Eli kicks me in the ribs out of nowhere and I will say "ouch" or something. Evan comes over and says to my belly, "Stop kicking my mommy!"

Evan, what happens when baby Eli is sleeping? He whispers, "We be quiet." What happens when Eli is awake? "Waaaa Waaaa" (baby crying)

Funny moments in the sonogram room with Evan. "Mommy, baby Eli swimming?" and most recently he asked if that was jelly on my tummy. So, the technician and I both explained that it's not the jelly you eat on your pb&j. "Oh, it's belly jelly?" Yes, it is. :)

"I want daddy, I'll holler at him."

Evan wanted to kiss his "Caterpillar Cake" good night the night before his birthday party.

Potty training provides lots of comedy. In the Costco bathroom with Evan and he says (not quietly), "Mom, push my penis down." The joys of potty training a boy! However, it's pretty awesome that I get m&m's everytime I go potty too.

A house is being built right next door to us and Evan woke up one morning and could hear the men working outside, but he doesn't have a window on that side of his room. "I need a window right there. I can't see them build a house."

I've had "blog" on my to-do list for 3 weeks! But, I've been exhausted and nauseous for 3 weeks (just a little side effect of the pregnancy :)

So, I'm just gonna post a few pics from the summer. I've been terrible about even taking pics this summer. We spent most of our days at the pool and I never took a picture!!!

Evan and I made a trip to Salina, KS in July to visit my grandparents. I was thrilled to get this picture of four generations.

My sister and her family were here for the July 4h weekend and Evan and Elsie had a blast playing together. We let them get into a sticky mess enjoying watermelon on the deck. Lots of fun!

ok friends, I will get back to posting. I promise. The end of June was busy with our vacation to Mexico (without Evan). Then it's been nothing but VBS the past few weeks. VBS ends tomorrow! I've had a blast being on the worship team this week, but I am exhausted. Being pregnant doesn't help the exhaustion either. That's right, I am pregnant!

I'll post new pics of Evan this weekend. The camera is downstairs and I'm not.

Evan is in the lovely stage of making a "cheese" face whenever the camera is pointed at him...soooo missing that sweet smile in pics lately. Or, he's just not looking. :)

Evan finally met his great-grandpa this week. (My mom's dad) He lives in Mississippi, but was in Kansas for a funeral. I'm pretty sure this will be a cherished pic for years to come.

Evan has spent too much time with Ben Long and is eating lemons...seriously.

I (Anya) celebrated my 30th birthday all week! (thanks to Micah :)

Yesterday we went to my brother's house for a cookout with their family and my parents. Eric and Elizabeth kept Evan for us on Saturday and Sunday so Micah could take me to the Plaza for a surprise party. I had a great birthday week!

Evan is loving the pool this summer. Every day he wakes up and asks me if we are going swimming.

Evan and I headed to Topeka on Saturday to ride the BNSF train with my mom and dad. My Dad works for the railroad and this was a "family special".

Warning...no pics for this post. I know, I know.

It's been an unusually hectic week for me, so I haven't posted anything. Unfortunately it's mostly because I've been home with a sick kiddo. Evan started having fever on Thursday night and just ran fever most of the weekend...even while mamaw and papaw Ansley were here. Poor kid was just not himself.

Then Saturday night he woke up with a terrible cough. He sounded like a seal...so sad. He kind of bounced back a little on Sunday...probably because he spent the whole day with daddy. :) (I was on praise team for church and then I led worship for an all-campus youth event.) Whew...I was exhausted Sunday night.

Early Monday morning the fever was back, and the cough just kept getting worse. So, I took him to the dr. first thing in the morning. Diagnosis: croup. Treatment: tlc and steroids.

Once the steroids kicked in...he was much more comfortable and started acting more like my sweet Evan.

So, potty training went out the window when daddy came home. I was so frustrated because he had done so well for 3 days and them he just stopped. I wasn't mad at him, it was just weird that he completely stopped. So, I decided not to push it and we will just wait and try again later.

So, I've been off the grid for a few days because we've been potty training. So much fun :/

Evan and I stayed home for 3 days completely focusing all of our energy on potty training, and it has been pretty successful. Until daddy came home from a business trip and suddenly we are back to square one...well, it feels like it anyway. So, I'm praying for patience and persistence. He did so good for the first few days, so I know he can do it. Plus, he just looks so darn cute in his big boy underwear.

On Saturday before the potty training boot camp started we went the Deanna Rose farmstead with our church. Evan didn't want to have anything to do with feeding the goats, so Micah did it.

I still haven't deleted pics from the camera, so the memory card keeps filling up...meaning I have only a few pics from the farm. However, I did capture a pic of all the adults trying to take pics of the kiddos...made me think about what they see when we are trying to take a pic.

I just kissed my sweet Evan goodnight and sent him to his room with Daddy. Daddy's putting him to bed tonight. Evan ran to his room and said "I read Bible, I read Bible"! (We read from his children's Bible every night before bed.)

One of the blisters had opened yesterday and Evan pulled the skin away with his teeth...so boy!

So this morning I was concerned about this big blister opening...I called the dr. hoping to just talk to a nurse and she would tell me I was doing everything right. Well, they said they wanted to see him. Evan was perfect for the Dr. He just sat there and let him look at his finger. I was so proud of him.

The Dr. wanted to open the big blister and cut the skin away so that we could "dress" the wound and keep infection away. Evan did great for the nurse, he watched her cut the skin away and only started crying at the very end. He didn't throw a fit, he was just a little scared. It was a proud mommy moment because he was so good.

The nurse put a vaseline bandage on him and wrapped it up...he took it right off. Again, so boy! So, she did it again and he was great. The bandage makes it look way worse than it is, but he looks like a tough boy. Again, I just have to say I am so proud of how he behaved at the Dr.'s office!

Hot chicken 1- Evan 0

Evan learned the hard way that the chicken in the hot pan, directly out of the oven, is indeed HOT! Poor guy burned his fingers pretty bad. He cried for an hour after it happened, but since then he's been a trooper. I'm just hoping it heals ok (and without infection)

We decided he could basically do anything he wanted just to get him to calm down, so Daddy took him for a walk. Yep, he's wearing his pj's!

Evan has been showing interest in using the potty, so I'm going with it when it happens. Today he asked to "go" while we were in the Costco bathroom, and I was so proud of him. They have the auto-flush toilets, and he wasn't freaked out. Woo hoo! Then, he sat on the potty at home and I captured this pic with my phone. Like father, like son :)

When praying on Monday night he repeated, "Dear God" and then he said "Thank you my cycle, my wagon, my trains. Amen"
We had lunch with our friends Ryan and Courtney Hill on Easter. So, that night I asked Evan to thank God for them . He repeated Courtney's name fine, but when I said "Ryan" he roared like a Lion. I said no, it's "Ryan"...he roared again. So, thank you God for Courtney and Lion. :)
We've been praying for our friends Ben and Nicole quite a bit lately so one day last week Evan was persistent. He said, "Thank you mommy, daddy, and Ben" "Nico and Ben and Ben" I said in Jesus' name...."and Ben"

Easter egg hunt in Silver Lake

We went to Silver Lake on Saturday to celebrate Easter with the Goodman's. We had the whole family together including my Grandparents from Salina. All of the kids had a great time playing outside together. Here are a few pics from the Easter Egg hunt...

I promise that this will not be a constant recap of the days events. However, I am trying to get back into this whole blogging thing...you know, exercise my brain a little. The real challenge would be for me to not use spell check :)

That being said, Evan had chicken for dinner. Not noteworthy in and of itself, but you should have seen how much he ate. He also had a whole banana, some cheerios, a mixed fruit cup.....oh and some cheese. Yeah, he's pretty much a bottomless pit these days. I took a pic with my phone (the memory card from the camera is full) because he just looks so big to me lately. He especially looks big here sitting back with his belly full...so Ansley.

I've been busy holding down the fort here in KC. At the end of February, mom and dad went to Mexico for a week! They left me here at home with Grandma and Grandpa Goodman. We had a blast! Mom is still waiting for Grandma to send her pictures from that week, but she'll post some soon! (hint hint :)

Mom and Dad went to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate their 5 year anniversary (which is this May)!

Dad is enjoying teaching me all about March Madness this year.

This weekend I had my first birthday party! Can you believe I'm one already? Neither can my mom who has been a blubbering mess all week! She just keeps saying, "I can't believe you're one already!"

At first, I just started picking at my cupcake, but after some help from mom and dad, I really dug in!

Mom and Dad let me open gifts from people as they arrived and so I opened my gift from Grandma and Grandpa Goodman when they arrived early to help get my party set-up. I am pretty excited about my new "pony".

One week after we celebrated Christmas with the Anlsey's, we celebrated it again with the Goodman's. Mom was really excited to be with her family for Christmas with year because it was the first time in quite a few years that everyone was together for Christmas.

This picture is Mom and Dad's favorite from Christmas.

Mom's family always makes homemade cinnamon rolls at Christmas time, and this year daddy got to help. He had to get his hands messy with butter, but they were really good!

I got to sit at the "big kid" table at grandma Goodman's house for a while...(until I fell out of my chair...oops!)

Mom and Dad think that uncle Eric must be the baby whisperer or something because no one else can ever get me to fall asleep in their arms...he must have the touch.

Here are a few pics from my first Christmas with the Ansley's. It's been a busy couple of weeks for me and I'm glad to be home, but sure enjoyed seeing lots of family the past few weeks!

Here I am after 3 hours in the car and I didn't sleep a wink...yeah, I'm cool like that. I just like to hang out with all of the big people. I was actually a really good boy, I just didn't want to miss anything that day.

Here I am with my new sit 'n spin....so I'm supposed to sit...and....spin. Okay, got it!

When we were at Mamaw and Papaws house, she put me on the dryer when she was in the laundry room. I thought that was kind of fun.

Mamaw and Papaw went all out for Christmas and gave me my first car! I'm even learning how to shift gears and everything.

It's been really cold here this past week, so mom and I have been spending a lot of time here at home. The other day I had been sleeping for over 3 hours and mom was starting to wonder when I was going to wake up from my nap. So, she came in to check on me. Of course, she thought this was the perfect chance to get pictures of me sleeping.

Here I am waking up because mom had taken about 15 pictures (with flash) of me.

This is how mom found me fast asleep in my crib. I had been asleep for about 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Now that I am getting bigger, mom needs my help around the house. So, I've been helping her with the dishes.

Mom and dad went to St.Louis again for a "Weekend to Remember" marriage retreat. They went to Landry's for their date night on Saturday. I stayed home with mamaw and papaw Ansley, but I sure missed mom and dad.

My mom thinks I should have been in an 80's big hair band. Not because I have great hair, but because I bang my head!

This week I was waking up from my nap and mom could hear me over the monitor starting to "stir". She could hear a thumping or pounding noise, but she thought it was my feet on my mattress. But it was a little louder than usual. This is how she found me in my bed. Banging my head against the wall, and I was pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to make such a big noise!

I was a tiger for Halloween. Mom and Dad were helping with the Fall Fun Fest at the church so we didn't really go trick or treating. Plus, I can't have candy yet, so I guess all I would have got was tricks.

Mom bought my costume almost 2 months ago and didn't even think about having me try it on before Halloween. OOPS! It was a little small! But, to give my mom some credit, my costume was a 12-18 months.

Mom and Dad can't believe that I'm 9 months old already! I went to the doctor this week to get a check up and for shots. I weighed 21 lbs. and 4 oz. Mom almost forgot to take my picture on my 9 month "b-day" so this one with red eyes is the best she's got!

Since I'm getting a little older, Mom has been letting me eat some of the same stuff she eats for lunch. This week she let me have a "turkey sandwich" (I had turkey and toast cut up into tiny little pieces.) I really like eating big people food.

I had some trouble getting the turkey stuck to my face and wondering where I put it...

but after a while I really liked it!

Big surprise...mommy's behind on posting. We've been traveling a lot as usual. A few weekends ago we went to Springfield to see Uncle Rusty, Aunt Lana, and my cousins Regan and Morgan. We always have fun spending time with them, and this weekend was no exception!

Here is my Uncle Rusty, daddy, Regan and Morgan at Planet Sub. I sure like that place because mommy ate there all the time before I was born!

Then this past weekend we went to the lake house (Thanks Curt and Patti!!) for the weekend with mommy's whole family! It was the first time we've all been together for a long time! We were all together because we were having a surprise 60th birthday get-together for Grandpa.

This is how I looked after the long drive to the lake house! Apparently I lost a sock along the way.

The Pumpkin Patch

Mom and Dad took me to Weston, MO on Saturday to go to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard! Mom didn't dress me right for the weather, so I look a little silly in my pictures. It was hot out, and she had me in a sweater. So, I shed that and sported my undershirt!

I was a little serious on Saturday too, so mom had a hard time getting pictures of me smiling!

I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with all of these big orange pumpkins, so I beat them like a drum.

Daddy had fun walking around the farm with me on his shoulders! He's a great daddy!

When we got out to the patch...I didn't know what to do. So, mom and dad kept sitting me on the pumpkins hoping for a good picture. I still don't know why I was sitting on a pumpkin.

Mom and Dad are always taking pictures of me in the bath tub. The doctor told mommy to give me a bath every day for my skin issues, so I get to play in the tub EVERY DAY!

I've been working on more teeth this past week, so I have been biting my lip a lot! Dad caught me! Do you like my spiked hair? I've been trying a few new looks lately.

Mom and Dad went to St. Louis without me this past weekend! They said they missed me, but I'm not sure. It looks like they were too busy having fun to miss me too much!

My visit to Silver Lake

Last Saturday I went to Silver Lake for the day. I got to see my great-grandparents, my grandparents, and the Ohrenbergs! It was a quick trip as usual, but I really wanted to see these people!

Grandpa was really excited to have me come for a visit because he bought a new wagon for me to ride in. This was the first time he got to pull me around. It was a lot of fun, but you have to remember to hold on or you can fall over and bonk your head!

I hadn't seen my great-grandparents since my cousin Elsie was born, so it was really cool that they were in Silver Lake too.

I cuddled in on Great-Grandma's shoulder...

but I wanted to get my hands on Great-Grandpa's glasses.

another quick trip to webb city

We made another quick trip to Webb City this week. Daddy dropped mommy and I off on his way to Arkansas. I had so much fun on this trip. It was so nice outside so I got to try lots of new things.

My new favorite thing to do is swing! Mamaw and Papaw put a swing up on their porch for me, and I love it!

I also got to ride on the lawnmower with Papaw (don't worry he went really slow and turned the blades off).

Aunt Heidi and Uncle Jason had us over for dinner and I got to hang out with Jalen and Ally.

Mamaw also let me play on the big kid swing set in the back yard. I LOVE TO SWING!

Mom is way behind on posting new pics of me, so today we are playing catch up with you!

It's officially fall and mom is putting me in new clothes all the time. We are loving the fall weather and football season!

I have new PJ's too because I keep getting too big for the ones I already own. These are my new fleece PJ's. I am wearing 18 mo. PJ's because I am too tall for any of the other ones! (Remember I'm only 7 1/2 months old)

I'm eating all kinds of new foods lately and I am starting to eat some of the same stuff as Mom and Dad. Dad fed me some of his banana the other day. He gave me little pieces to chew and eat! I love to eat!

I got to see the Goodman family on Labor Day weekend! My cousin Elsie is getting kind of big, but I still have to help her sit up for pictures!

I got to swim in the neighborhood pool at my Uncle Eric's house! I love to swim, and I really liked chillin' on my little raft!

Today, was a big day for me! I got my first tooth! Mom can't get me to sit still long enough to take a picture of it, but it's there! I also got to eat crackers in the high chair today! I loved it!

Mom and I stayed home all day today because we were getting new garage doors. Mom was worried that all the noise in the garage would keep me from napping today, but I slept right throught all the noise! That was good for mom because she got lots done while I was sleeping!

When dad got home tonight I got to take a bath! Woo-hoo! That is one of my favorite things to do.

We've been with family the past 2 weekends. Dad had a fantasy football draft in Webb City, so we all went down for the weekend to see the family. Mommy feels bad that she keeps forgetting to get the camera out to take pictures. However, mom and I have both been a little under the weather these past few weeks, so she's been kind of out of it.

I enjoyed hanging out with the Ansley's....here are a few pics from that weekend!

When we got home from Webb City, mom and dad tried to give me juice. They keep trying, and I keep making this face! I don't like it.....yet!

This past weekend, grandma and grandpa Goodman were here to see me. They stayed with me on Friday night so mom and dad could go on a date! They stuck around most of the day Saturday, and we went to Grandpa's favortie place to eat....Chipotle! (to be fair, Mom and Grandma really like it too!) I really wanted to eat the same burritos they were having, but mom said I had to have carrots instead...not fair!

Grandpa let me sit in his truck while he moved it to the other side of the driveway. Mom said that I never get to ride in the car without being in my special seat, but she figured it was okay since we weren't leaving the driveway. I gave her a look like...is this really okay?

We've been on the go again! Dad had a week off from working because he started a new job, so we hit the road to SW MO. We went to see Rusty, Lana, Regan and Morgan in Nixa (Springfield). They have a new house, and we loved it! We even had our own little part of the basement to sleep in! Thanks!

Mom has been forgetting to take pictures of our travels, but here are a few from our time with the Ansley's.

Since dad was off all week, mom and dad did a lot of work around the house. They painted their bedroom, put new flooring in the bathroom, and moved the home office back downstairs! (good news for those of you who stay in our guest room) Mom let me sit in her office chair today, and I think I look like a big boy.

We've had visitors at our house again this past week. My Mamaw and Papaw Ansley were here to see me for a few days. It was really nice to have them here at my house!

Right after they left....the Ohrenbergs were here with Elsie (my cousin). They were here to go to her first baseball game. Mom and dad left me with a sitter, and went to the game without me. I was kind of mad they left me behind until they told me that they sat through a 1hr and 20min rain delay. I'm really glad I wasn't there!

I'm sporting some new outfits these day that dad's basketball coach gave me. I think I look pretty good, what do you think?

Also, since I can sit up these days, mom doesn't have to keep me in the car seat at the store anymore. I can sit up top where I can see all kinds of new things. Mom really likes this because she can fit so much more in the cart without me in it.

My First Vegetable

yeah! I finally got to try my first vegetable this week. Mom made me some carrots! They are yummy! Mom was really proud of me for not making a huge mess when I was eating them.

Yikes! Last weekend was very busy for us! We went to Silver Lake again for a couple of reasons. Mom had a wedding to go to in western Kansas, and dad was going to take care of me and grandma. Grandma fell and broke her ankle, so we went to help her out because Grandpa was driving back from CA with uncle Eric! Whew! I'm tired all over again just talking about it.

I learned how to sit all by myself this week. I started doing it a little at my grandma's house, but by Monday, I was really sitting solo.

Uncle Eric and Grandpa got home on Sunday and we all went to eat at a Mongolian BBQ in Topeka. We saw a kitty in the parking lot. Everyone thought it was funny that there was a cat in the parking lot of the restaurant....well, it wasn't so funny when we got inside and the kitty had followed us into the restaurant. The hostess was freaking out because it seems that the last thing you want in this kind of restaurant is a cat. Mom didn't get her camera out in time to take a picture.

I was pretty tired by the time we left Grandma's house, and mom caught me sleeping with my fingers in my mouth on the way home!

I also am wearing a new outfit these days. Dad is getting excited for football season, so I am wearing my Nebraska Huskers outfit. Mom's not so sure about my choice of team, but she is out-numbered on this one.

Mom and I made a very short trip to Webb City this week. My great Aunt Marilyn was back in MO from Indianapolis, so I wanted to go meet her. She is the one who introduced my dad to my mom. Dad warned me before I went that she looks a lot like my mamaw Ansley, but he didn't tell me they are identical twins!

I also got to go swimming again while I was there. Mamaw Ansley swam with me for a while, but I'm not sure she liked my splashing. Notice how much those girls look alike.

My First 4th of July

We had a very busy Fourth of July! We went to Silver Lake, KS for lunch to see Grandma and Grandpa Goodman and Uncle Mark, Aunt Holly and cousin Elsie. Mom sure took a lot of pictures that day. She said that we don't see Elsie very often so we have to take pictures when we are together.

Grandpa was worried that Elsie might fall over, but I wanted him to know I had her covered. I wasn't gonna let her fall.

Then Grandma held us both so that everyone else could enjoy their lunch. Elsie was mad, but I was trying to tell her that it was gonna be okay...eventually they get tired of the crying and they feed us.

We left Grandma and Grandpa's house and came home to go to a party. It was hot outside, so Mom and Dad put me in just my overalls. I kind of felt like a redneck baby, but the chicks dig it! Dad was ready to catch me if I fell over in the chair, but I like to sit up these days.

Sunday night mom and I went to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Goodman because my house was being sprayed for bugs.

Grandma taught me how to splash in the bathtub. Mom and Dad aren’t too thrilled that I’ve learned how to do this, but they know I would have figured it our eventually.

This past weekend we had visitors at our house. My “uncle Jack” and “aunt Nina” came to visit. Actually they are my parents friends, Jackson and Kristina Boyer. They came up so "uncle Jack" could play golf with dad on Saturday, and we all went to the Royals v. Cardinals game on Sunday. It was my first time at a baseball game! I was happy because my Cards won 9-6. I also got to meet my 2nd cousin Cole at the K.

This is what happens to your baby after being gone from home for a long weekend! Evan has been so sleepy the past few days. Last night while I was getting ready to head to a baby shower, Evan was playing in the bouncy seat. After a few minutes I didn't hear him hitting the toys anymore. I went to the living room and found him fast asleep.

Tonight while we were eating dinner and Evan was waiting to eat cereal before bed, he was playing in his excersaucer. However, it seems that his burp rag was entertainment enough for him. He kept getting distracted from playing and was putting the burp rag on his head...in his mouth..

Long weekend

We made a trip to Webb City for a long weekend with the family. We enjoyed spending time with all of the Ansley's. Evan went to the pool for the first time and wore his new sunglasses that mamaw Ansley gave him. We think he looks too cute in these.

We also went to see Evan's cousin Regan play in her softball tournament. They clenched the title on Monday after we left. Way to go Regan! Evan enjoyed being outside at the ballpark.

what I loved today: my mom and my feet

Today I loved playing with my feet. Dad had a hard time changing my diaper this morning because I was playing with my feet.

This afternoon mom was laughing at me because I was playing with my feet when she came to get me after my nap. I guess mom thought it was really cute because she took my picture. Mom is a little embarrassed by my outfit, but I have a hard time with socks because my legs are chunky. So, sometimes I don't quite match.

Not only was I a little obsessed with my feet today...I really wanted Mom to hold me when I was awake. Usually I like to play some by myself, and mom gets stuff done here at home. But today I really wanted her to hold me. So, she had to stay up later that she wanted to get packed for our weekend in Webb City.

The past few days have been super busy, but also fun. On Friday Grandma and Grandpa Goodman came to watch Evan so that Micah could take me out for my birthday. It was nice to go out and not have to worry about what time we were coming home. Saturday morning we remembered why we go to bed early.....we are getting too old, and Evan doesn't sleep in as well as we do.

oh yeah....here is a pic of Micah with part of a Snickers wrapper that he found in the dessert at Houlihan's. We had a lot of weird things happen at dinner.

Saturday we spent most of the day trimming trees in our yard. Micah had to get on the roof to trim back a few limbs that were hanging over the house. We were getting tired of the squirrels jumping onto the roof from the trees....so we cut back the branches. Micah had a little scare on the ladder first thing in the morning. The ladder wasn't fully latched, and it slipped on the deck. Micah landed on his feet (he said it's because he has cat-like reflexes), but the ladder took out a chunk of the siding on the house.

Evan enjoyed being outside with us for much of the day, but we think he needs a hat that's a little more manly! this looks too much like a bonnet for our little man.

Mom and Dad are so glad that I enjoy bathtime! I do pretty good unless mommy runs the water too cold...then I'm pretty mad. My favorite part about bathtime is when daddy wraps me up in a towel with a hood and snuggles with me! Daddy usually like it unless I pee on him, but sometimes I can't help it because I'm cold.

We've discovered that sometimes all it takes to calm a fussy baby is a little walk around the block or a stroll through Costco. Last night we went for a walk before the thunderstorms rolled in on us.

We figure it's time to actually post something since we've had this blog for a while. oops, I guess we've been busy with the newest addition to the Ansley family....Evan Paul. He was born on January 25, 2008....10 days past his due date. He weighed 8lb. 14 oz., and hasn't stopped growing yet. So, here are a few pix from the past few months. I hope to start posting stories and pix on a regular basis now that things have settled down a bit.
